[The video screen shook a bit, as Ivan seemed to be adjusting it after finally figuring out how the damn thing worked. His face took up the majority of the screen.

Amazing! This thing didn't even look like a camera, and it seemed to do a lot more than just that too. They had portable cameras where he came from, but video was a whole 'nother story.

There was a whine, obviously feral, and the camera shifted down to a small yellow rat. Or Pikachu, but Ivan preferred to call it a rat.]

Heh! And look at this thing--it fits into a ball!

[He shoves it with his foot. The "rat" protests again, sparking angrily. Ivan either ignores it or simply doesn't notice as he turns the camera back to his beautiful visage. The lens wasn't as close now, and his Soviet Major's uniform could be seen. He had refused to change into his new Rocket uniform.]

If somebody could explain to me how to get home, the only assholes I talked to--

[And that's about the last thing Ivan says (besides a surprised scream) as he gets a good shock and the feed ends.]

[Huey grins over the video.]

[Ivan comes to, his hair a frizzy mess. He can do nothing but glare at the screen a moment.]

[He sits up, and the camera shakes a bit in response. Pikachu can be seen wandering a behind him.]

Huey Emmerich. Outer Heaven's head of R&D.

[He laughs lightly at the sight of Raikov's hair. It's a pity the uniform's unfamiliar to him.]

Outer Heaven? What's that?

[His eyes widen at the laugh, realizing the dismal condition of his hair.

The camera is quickly turned away.]

It's the base for our mercenary group, Militaires San Frontiers.

[Snicker.]

--Shut it!

[He's brushing his hair down madly with his hands, not that Huey can see. Despite that he talks rather collectedly.]

That mercenary group...it's not after a Colonel, is it?

[Never can be too careful, there were a lot of men after Volgin...

Pikachu comes up close to the camera, it's nose taking up the entire screen; Ivan quickly shoos him away.]

[He blinks, curiously.]

[Hair now nice and neat (or so he thought), Ivan turned the camera back 'round.]

So what was that about being stuck here?

Like I said. There's no way out. You're stuck here.

Don't you get it? There aren't any airports. This planet doesn't have anything like that and frankly, whatever country you're from probably doesn't exist here.

[He starts to laugh, not even hearing the comment about his hair.]

[A low laugh.]

Look at that creature beside you. Those don't exist on Earth. There's no planes, no buses, no cars. There are no weapons. You went to sleep somewhere else and woke up here. It's not my fault if you're not smart enough to figure it out.

Don't insult my intelligence when you're the one who's gullible enough to believe anything some you're told!

[Ivan did glance over at the rat though, an inkling of doubt written on his face.]

I've been here months. Call me gullible if you find a way out.

[And just to mock him, his Skarmory points its giant metal head in the video and screeches.]

[Wait... this man was from Russia without a doubt, China could recognize that Soviet uniform anywhere. However, this was not the same Russian he knew from back home. This man had blue eyes and his hair was slightly longer. China's surprised expression fades, but he quickly regains his composure. He's not going to comment on the Pikachu since he's been shocked by his brother's as well, so he knows it's not fun.]

There is no way back to Russia, or anywhere on earth, aru. We're all stuck here in Johto unless we can find some kind of gateway.

[While getting home was a priority, he also had to wonder if this was a woman or a beautiful man. Ivan did a bit of staring.]

Johto, that's this place, right? [He scoffed.]

If this isn't Earth, how did I get here all within the course of a nap? You're all gullible idiots.

Oh, I'll find a way--EAAHH! [Ivan jumps back at the bird's screech and sudden appearance.]

What--wh-what the hell is that thing?!

It's a Skarmory. It's a type of Pokèmon just like that one beside you.

[He lightly pushes Hal the Skarmory away.]

[It's your guess, Ivan.]

[In the meantime, China nods his head.] That's correct, aru.

And believe me, I don't know how I got here either. One minute I'm walking through the bamboo grove, the next I wake up in a house that's not mine, aru! At first I thought it might have been part of some cruel joke that Ivan was playing on me, but he's not here, so...

[He frowns and folds his arms.]

[He can't figure it out.]

You too...? [Ivan looks a little worried--this was getting weird. When he hears his name however, he perks up.]

Not here? Heh, who do you think you're talking to~?

[He's going to go with male for now, and hope he's correct.]

[Pikachu makes another annoyed whine, but Ivan ignores him.]

Something about having to steal as many as possible...

...what now?

[He frowns at the stranger, suddenly feeling a well of rare anger surge up in him.]

How dare you...

I'm afraid so, aru. I've been here since last October, along with my two brothers.

[He knits his eyebrows together.] I'm afraid I'm not following. [Then he picks up something and the surprised look returns to his brown eyes.] Unless... is your name Ivan as well?

[China knew that Ivan was a common name in Russia, but still...!]

[Sorry, Ivan, but right now, China is not within crotchgrabbing distance for you to find out for sure.]
